NEW HOME BUILD, LIMERICK
This project was designed and planned to replicate the building that stood on the existing site prior to to the works commencing.
This was an unusual project in design. The Architect wanted the house to replicate the yard and the buildings that occupied the site prior to the house. Half of the house is two storey with the other half a double height space. We got trusses for the two storey element and built off these to create the curved shape inside and outside on the double height space. We used fiberglass on the flat roof to the front of the building and covered the rest of the roof in a coloured cladding. The whole roof had to be wrapped in 3 layers of plywood to created a constant curve for the cladding to be fixed.
